WPG Holdings and WT Holdings Surge in Revenue, Surpassing Full-Year 2025 Levels

by xinshixiang·September 14, 2026

Recently, leading IC distributors WPG Holdings and WT Holdings have sequentially released their revenue data for August 2026. Both companies maintained high single-month revenues, achieving significant year-over-year growth. Specifically, WPG Holdings reported an August revenue of approximately NTD 198.38 billion (all subsequent figures are in NTD), a year-over-year increase of 98.21%, marking its second-highest monthly revenue on record; WT Holdings reported an August revenue of approximately NTD 142.24 billion, a year-over-year increase of 80.5%.

In the first eight months of this year, the cumulative revenues of both companies have already surpassed their full-year 2025 levels ahead of schedule. This article reviews the latest performance of WPG Holdings and WT Holdings and analyzes the main drivers behind their growth in combination with their second-quarter business structures.

01 WT Holdings and WPG Holdings Continue High-Speed Growth

WPG Holdings announced that its consolidated revenue for August 2026 reached approximately NTD 198.38 billion, a month-over-month increase of about 8.5% and a year-over-year increase of about 98.21%, marking its second-highest single-month revenue in history, second only to the record high of NTD 211.019 billion set in April this year.

WPG Holdings stated that the strong revenue momentum in August was mainly driven by annual growth in communications, industrial, automotive, and data center applications. At a previous investor conference, WPG Holdings mentioned that capital expenditures by CSPs (Cloud Service Providers) and major AI-related companies continue to grow. Demand from the second half of this year to next year is expected to keep warming up, and AI demand is expected to gradually penetrate more fields.

In non-AI sectors, WPG Holdings believes that Future, acquired previously, as well as demand indicators in markets such as industrial and automotive, like the B/B ratio (book-to-bill ratio), all point to a sustained and steady recovery.

WT Holdings reached a revenue of NTD 142.24 billion in August 2026, an increase of 80.5% compared to the same period last year.

As the global technology industry and downstream customers accelerate technological upgrades and energy infrastructure construction, robust corporate capital expenditures are driving widespread restocking momentum for semiconductors and electronic components.

In addition to the strong restocking momentum in power management, servers, networking equipment, energy storage systems, and high-density connection components, demand for automotive electronics and industrial control is also advancing steadily. Furthermore, demand for high value-added services such as intelligent warehouse management and information system integration is expanding simultaneously. The dual-track advancement of diverse terminal applications and hardware-software services converges into structural growth momentum.

02 Performance Since the Beginning of This Year: Both Surpass Last Year's Full-Year Total

In the first eight months of this year, both WPG Holdings and WT Holdings have maintained strong growth momentum, with cumulative revenues surpassing their full-year levels of last year. Recently, both companies have held investor conferences to review their second-quarter performance and provide future outlooks.

WPG Holdings' monthly revenues from January to August this year were NTD 195.7 billion, NTD 104.4 billion, NTD 194.1 billion, NTD 211.0 billion, NTD 197.9 billion, NTD 181.7 billion, NTD 183.0 billion, and NTD 198.4 billion, respectively, with April refreshing the single-month historical high at NTD 211.0 billion.

In the first eight months of this year, WPG Holdings' cumulative revenue reached approximately NTD 1.4663 trillion, a year-over-year increase of about 109%, surpassing last year's record full-year revenue of NTD 1.1779 trillion.

Based on the structure disclosed at the investor conference, the core of WPG Holdings' high growth comes from AI.

In the second quarter, revenue from data centers and servers achieved a year-over-year increase of 274%, accounting for 59.2% of total revenue. Including the communications business, the revenue proportion of the two major AI-related fields has climbed from 54% in 2025 to 70-71% in the first half of this year.

WPG Holdings pointed out that optical communications, driven by the rapid volume growth of AI data center demand, has become a significant portion of the communications business; demand for power components (Power ICs) in data centers is particularly strong.

In terms of profitability, WPG Holdings' consolidated revenue in the second quarter was approximately NTD 590.7 billion, a quarter-over-quarter increase of about 20% and a year-over-year increase of about 128%; net profit after tax attributable to the parent company was approximately NTD 9.71 billion, a year-over-year increase of about 243%, with an EPS of approximately NTD 7.68, all reaching new single-quarter highs.

WPG Holdings' gross margin in the second quarter was 3.41%, down again from 4.32% in the same period last year, continuing the trend of quarter-over-quarter compression, mainly affected by changes in product mix. WPG Holdings estimates that the gross margin in the third quarter will rebound to the range of 3.54% to 3.64%.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, WPG Holdings estimates consolidated revenue to be between NTD 572.0 billion and NTD 612.0 billion, with a median of approximately NTD 592.0 billion, representing a quarter-over-quarter increase of about 0.2% and a year-over-year increase of about 80%.

Richard Chang, Chairman of WPG Holdings, pointed out that AI demand will not only continue but also drive the growth of other applications through penetration in the medium to long term. Data center-related demand remains very strong, albeit affected by shipping rhythms. It is estimated that overall operations in the second half of the year will still outperform the first half.

WT Holdings' monthly revenues from January to August this year were NTD 95.2 billion, NTD 79.7 billion, NTD 141.6 billion, NTD 127.3 billion, NTD 138.0 billion, NTD 192.9 billion, NTD 146.1 billion, and NTD 142.2 billion, respectively, with June's NTD 192.9 billion setting a new historical high. In the second quarter, WT Holdings' revenue was NTD 456.2 billion, a year-over-year increase of 82.2%; net profit was NTD 8.62 billion, a year-over-year increase of 294.4%, continuing high growth.

In the first eight months of this year, WT Holdings' cumulative revenue surpassed the trillion mark for the first time, reaching NTD 1.06311 trillion, a year-over-year increase of 62.4%, also surpassing its full-year revenue performance in 2025.

From the perspective of product structure, WT Holdings' computing (including servers) business accounted for 45% of revenue in the second quarter, making it the largest business. More reflective of market changes are memory components—the revenue proportion jumped significantly from 26% in the same period last year to 54%, while core component products fell from 40% to 18%, reflecting to a certain extent the rapid rise of memory chips in the current business structure.

WT Holdings pointed out that the shortage and price increase of memory chips have had a significant effect, pushing up the proportion of material costs in terminal products. The proportion of memory chip costs in mobile phones increased from 35% in 2025 to 64%, and in PCs/NBs, it also rose from 32% to 60%. Although this trend may affect the unit shipments of mobile phones and PCs, the total consumption amount of semiconductors will still grow.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, WT Holdings estimates operating revenue to be between NTD 460.0 billion and NTD 500.0 billion. The company expects overall performance in the second half of the year to outperform the first half, with strong market demand, especially in AI-related fields. This trend is expected to continue until at least the first half of 2027.

03 Conclusion

Both WPG Holdings and WT Holdings are benefiting from the demand growth driven by AI, but with different drivers. WPG Holdings is more concentrated in data centers and communications, while WT Holdings has more overlap with the upswing in the memory market. Although the quarter-over-quarter growth in the third quarter may slow down due to factors such as shipping rhythms and previous restocking, both companies remain optimistic about the demand in the second half of this year and next year.
