Automotive‑grade SiC Growth: Three Chinese Power Semiconductor Firms Deliver Strong 2026 Business Momentum

by hangjiashuosandaiban·October 12, 2026

In 2026, the prosperity of the silicon carbide (SiC) industry continues to rise, and downstream demand steadily expands, driving continuous improvement in corporate orders and performance. Recently, three domestic power semiconductor companies have jointly announced significant growth in their SiC revenue and shipment volumes:

    Yangjie Technology: In the first three quarters of 2026, the revenue of its SiC business achieved a year-on-year growth of over 100%;
    CR Micro: In the first half of 2026, the sales revenue of its SiC devices and modules more than doubled;
    Hestia Power: In the first three quarters of 2026, its SiC shipment volume exceeded 32.58 million units, a sequential growth of 52%.

01. Yangjie Technology: SiC Business Achieves Over 100% Growth

On October 8, Yangjie Technology released its performance forecast for the first three quarters of 2026. During the reporting period, both the revenue and net profit of Yangjie Technology achieved significant growth, with the revenue of its SiC business more than doubling.

According to the announcement, in the first three quarters of 2026, Yangjie Technology's operating revenue achieved a year-on-year growth of over 30%, of which the automotive business revenue grew by over 100% year-on-year. Driven by capacity release and accelerated customer introduction, the revenue of its SiC business also achieved a year-on-year growth of over 100%, with the growth rate increasing quarter by quarter. The year-on-year growth rate in the third quarter was nearly 200%.

Yangjie Technology stated that it expects the net profit during this period to be positive and show a year-on-year increase. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company is expected to be between CNY 1.168 billion and CNY 1.363 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of 20.00% to 40.00%.

Regarding the performance growth, Yangjie Technology explained that in the first three quarters of 2026, the power semiconductor industry benefited from the explosive demand in fields such as AI servers, coupled with the shortage of capacity in mature 8-inch processes, presenting an upward trend in prosperity with both volume and price rising. At the same time, the company deeply promoted lean production and whole-process cost control, effectively alleviating the pressure of rising raw material costs. The gross profit margin in the third quarter increased sequentially, driving the steady growth of the company's performance.

Notably, since 2025, Yangjie Technology has continuously advanced its SiC business layout. Its capacity and capacity utilization rate have rapidly increased, effectively matching the expansion demand of the downstream market, thereby supporting its performance growth:

Early 2026: Yangjie Technology revealed in an interview with "Expert Talk on Third-Generation Semiconductors" that last year was their first year of IDM operation. In Q4, the monthly shipment of 6-inch SiC wafers exceeded 2,000 pieces, and the factory capacity utilization rate reached over 80%. Their goal for 2026 is to achieve an annual capacity utilization rate of >90% for the SiC factory.

April 2026: Yangjie Technology disclosed in its 2025 annual report that its first SiC chip production line has successfully achieved mass production ramp-up, and the first SiC automotive-grade power semiconductor module packaging project has been completed and put into production. It has secured orders from multiple mainstream domestic and international Tier 1 customers, and the market share of SiC MOS continues to increase.

May 2026: The main structure of Building 1 of the automotive-grade power semiconductor module packaging project in Yangjie Technology's Plant No. 7 was officially topped out, accelerating the sprint towards production and operation. This project will focus on breakthroughs in automotive-grade SiC MOSFET modules.

June 2026: Yangjie Technology plans to officially close two overseas fundraising projects and redirect the remaining raised funds, equivalent to approximately CNY 849 million, to two major domestic power semiconductor key projects, further increasing the production capacity of products such as SiC SBD and MOSFET.

02. CR Micro: SiC Business Revenue Achieves More Than Doubled Growth

On October 9, CR Micro released the record form of investor relations activities. It revealed that in the first half of this year, the sales revenue of its SiC devices and modules also more than doubled.

CR Micro stated that its SiC business structure continues to advance towards high-end applications. The revenue proportion in the fields of automotive electronics and energy storage has reached 85%, and cooperation has been implemented in multiple fields:

In the NEV field, they continue to expand the scale of cooperation with leading industry customers, winning the bid for the SiC MOS flash charging project in the first half of the year;

In the charging pile field, the SiC MOS G4 platform has achieved batch delivery, with high customer stickiness and stable supply;

In the data center field, SiC MOS has been supplied for solid-state transformers (SST) and solid-state relays (SSR). The integrated SiC MOS customized for AI computing power supplies has passed the evaluation and samples have been delivered.

CR Micro also revealed that as the scale of downstream SiC applications continues to expand, its own SiC capacity remains tight. It is actively seeking outsourced capacity and deepening cooperation with external suppliers. In the later stage, it plans to expand capacity through investment, mergers and acquisitions, and equity participation to undertake customer orders and meet market demands.

According to observations by "Expert Talk on Third-Generation Semiconductors", CR Micro's SiC business has maintained a strong growth momentum. According to the 2024 annual report, the sales revenue of CR Micro's SiC and GaN power devices maintained rapid year-on-year growth. According to the 2025 annual report, the sales revenue of CR Micro's SiC power devices and module products more than doubled.

03. Hestia Power: SiC Shipment Volume Achieves 52% Sequential Growth

On October 10, Hestia Power released its performance express report for the first three quarters of 2026. In the first three quarters of 2026, Hestia Power's shipment volume exceeded 32.58 million units, a sequential growth of 52%. Among them, automotive products accounted for over 82%, with a cumulative shipment volume of 26.79 million units in the first three quarters, a sequential growth of 73%.

According to the official website, Hestia Power was founded in October 2019. It is an enterprise dedicated to the R&D and production of third-generation wide bandgap semiconductor power devices and power modules. Its SiC products have covered voltage platforms from 650V to 3300V, capable of large-scale mass production of automotive-grade SiC MOSFETs and diodes, and shipped at scale to globally renowned customers.
