On August 13, 2026, the 5th Dishui Lake China RISC-V Industry Forum was successfully held at the InterContinental Shanghai Dishui.

Dr. Wayne Dai, Chairman of the China RISC-V Industry Alliance (CRVIC), and Founder, Chairman, and President of VeriSilicon, stated in his opening remarks: "When other regions were not optimistic about the RISC-V industry, the Shanghai Municipal Government had the vision to see its potential. As a result, the China RISC-V Industry Alliance (CRVIC) was established in Shanghai in 2018, and since then, the open RISC-V ecosystem has begun to thrive."

Meanwhile, Dr. Dai reviewed the past four editions of the Dishui Lake China RISC-V Industry Forum, stating: "In the first year, it was difficult for us to find 10 products, and most of the products commercialized in the first two years were IoT (Internet of Things)-related, relatively entry-level RISC-V products. Now, not only have these products entered mass production, but RISC-V has also advanced into the high-end development stage. It is estimated that by 2031, the overall market share of RISC-V SoC (System on Chip) will exceed 30%, with the highest market share in the computer and consumer electronics sectors."

According to the latest data released by The SHD Group, global RISC-V SoC shipments reached approximately 6.9 billion units in 2025 and are expected to grow to about 36 billion units by 2031, with a CAGR of 31.7%. Its market size will increase from $94 billion to $313 billion, with a CAGR of 22.5%. Among them, the market size of China's RISC-V SoCs is expected to grow from approximately $24 billion in 2025 to about $86.4 billion in 2031. Driven by domestic substitution and AIoT demand, this market will maintain rapid growth.
