ZoZo Auto Research 2026 Automotive Telematics Service (TSP) Report: Large Language Models and AI Agents Reshape China’s Connected Vehicle TSP Landscape

by zuosichanyan·July 8, 2026

ZoZo Auto Research has released the "2026 Automotive Telematics Service (TSP) Research Report".

A Telematics Service Provider (TSP) is the core hub of the connected vehicle industry chain, connecting vehicles, users, and services. Upstream, it interfaces with automakers, in-vehicle equipment manufacturers, and network operators; downstream, it connects with content and application providers, taking on the end-to-end responsibilities of data collection, processing, distribution, and closed-loop service delivery.

The current TSP industry has evolved from its nascent stage centered on call centers, through a growth stage marked by the entry of internet companies, and has now entered a deepening development phase driven by intelligent connectivity and AI. In 2025, the installation rate of infotainment systems in Chinese passenger cars reached 90.7%, the pre-installed satellite navigation rate was 82.7%, the mobile phone remote control installation rate was 90.4%, and the mobile phone-to-vehicle interconnection rate was 66.1%. Connected vehicle services have evolved from a "nice-to-have" feature to "standard factory equipment".

Large models and AI agents are reconstructing the underlying logic of TSP operating systems. 2026 marks a critical year for the mass production and implementation of cabin large models, with the installation rate of AI large models surging from 10.4% in 2025 Q1 to 35.3% in 2026 Q1. The Doubao large model has been deployed in over 7 million vehicles, across 50+ brands and 145 car models; Baidu's "Xiaodu Xiangxiang", Tencent's five major agents, and Banma Intelligence have all completed their agent upgrades.

I. Tencent Connected Car

In the TSP field, Tencent Connected Car focuses on software capabilities and cloud platform deployment, with a core evolution path of: content ecosystem empowerment → AI large model agent cabin → human-vehicle-life digital ecosystem.

As of 2026, Tencent Connected Car's TSP solutions have been implemented in 60+ brands and over 16 million vehicles; its Auto Cloud has partnered with 100+ automakers/mobility technology companies; and over 30 automakers and technology companies are using Tencent's overseas cloud services. The core advantages of Tencent Connected Car in the TSP field lie in its in-vehicle integration capabilities leveraging the WeChat ecosystem (1.15 billion MAU) and the Mini Program ecosystem (8,000+ partners, 300+ joint solutions), as well as its AI agent architecture driven by the dual engines of the Hunyuan large model and DeepSeek.

Tencent's latest generation TAI 6.0 achieves AI upgrades through the Tencent Hunyuan large model and DeepSeek. It enhances AI proactive services across all travel scenarios through five major agents: "AI Local Life Agent", "AI All-round Companion Agent", "AI Travel Exploration Agent", "AI Travel Connection Agent", and "AI Map Navigation Agent". In April 2026, Tencent officially released the "Full-Scenario Travel Agent Open Platform", driving in-vehicle AI from "conversation" to "proactive execution".

II. Baidu Connected Car

The core evolution path of Baidu Connected Car in the TSP field is: search + map empowerment → large model + agent reconstruction → AI mobility platform. As of 2026, Baidu Connected Car has partnered with over 70 automakers; CarLife+ covers 95%+ of smartphones, 1,300+ car models, and 70+ brands; and Baidu Maps covers over 200 countries and regions globally.

The core advantages of Baidu Connected Car lie in the DuerOS X operating system driven by the ERNIE large model, the global coverage capability of Baidu Maps, and the mass production implementation of the "Xiaodu Xiangxiang" AI navigation agent.

On March 27, 2026, Baidu officially launched the new generation of mass-production-grade AI cabin agent, with core highlights including:

The core architecture features a "Central Agent" that uniformly schedules sub-agents for navigation, entertainment, vehicle control, and companion chat, achieving a full-link closed loop from colloquial understanding to complex task execution.

Based on an end-to-end voice and language large model, users do not need to memorize fixed operational prompts and can complete navigation and cabin control through natural conversation.

Relying on the deep integration of Baidu Maps and the ERNIE large model, the agent can accurately recognize dialects and obscure place names, possessing capabilities in emotion perception, scene adaptation, and long-term memory. With millisecond-level voice response, it achieves in-car interactions closer to real human conversation.

In March 2026, this technology was mass-produced on the Buick Zhijing OS; during the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, it was showcased by SAIC-GM and Dongfeng Motor.

III. Banma Intelligence

The core evolution path of Banma Intelligence in the TSP field is: SAIC-exclusive OS → AI large model + OS dual-wheel drive → industry-wide open platform. As of 2026, Banma Intelligence has been cumulatively deployed in 69 OEMs and over 10 million vehicles, covering 16+ international markets. In the TSP ecosystem, Banma Intelligence has established partnerships with over 400 partners, and its in-vehicle mini program service platform has over 4 million monthly active users.

Yuanshen AI is a high-performance, specially developed AI software stack with agent characteristics, built specifically for in-vehicle environments, and was released in September 2025. On January 18, 2026, Banma Intelligence's "Yuanshen AI" passed the ASPICE 4.0 CL2 automotive-grade international certification, becoming the first company in China to receive this certification in the field of mass-produced AI large models.

Yuanshen AI features agent characteristics, capable of proactively making decisions and taking actions to achieve specific goals without the need for continuous manual input. The "System Agent" is part of the Yuanshen AI software stack, integrating agents from multiple in-vehicle systems, aiming to meet user needs efficiently and safely. The Auto Omni edge-side large model can be used offline in 90% of scenarios, and the AutoClaw multi-agent collaboration solution implements a multi-agent collaboration system—decomposing complex tasks with a single voice command (such as making dinner reservations and adjusting schedules simultaneously when inviting someone to dinner), running in the background 24/7.

To date, Banma Intelligence's Yuanshen AI mass production/design-win partnerships include over 10 brands such as IM Motors, BMW, Hongqi, Roewe, Volkswagen, MG, and Hyundai. In 2026, BMW's entire lineup will upgrade to Yuanshen AI, marking Banma's transition from an SAIC-exclusive OS to an industry-wide open platform.
