Tsingyane Electronics & Eacomp Technology Jointly Build AI Simulation & Intelligent Manufacturing Closed Loop for Dry Electrodes

by gaogonglidian·October 13, 2026

Abstract

Both backed by investments from CATL, the two companies are jointly developing AI simulation for dry electrodes

In September 2026, Shenzhen Tsingyane Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Eacomp Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Tsinghua University Shenzhen Research Institute. The two parties will collaborate on AI simulation and the intelligent manufacturing of dry electrodes.

The collaboration advances through a bidirectional closed-loop approach of "data-model". Tsingyane Electronics opens its accumulated dry process parameters and cell performance database to Eacomp Technology for calibrating the latter's physical simulation models. The AI model, iterated with real industrial data, then reversely outputs simulation results that align with actual production conditions, guiding Tsingyane Electronics in optimizing powder film formation processes and equipment parameters.

Based on this, the two parties have defined three tasks: embedding machine learning into the entire dry powder film formation process and developing AI agents for equipment; building a dedicated simulation model for dry electrodes, given that existing general simulation software is mainly adapted for wet electrodes; and forming a joint special task force after the National Day holiday to focus on advancing the iteration of simulation software and process adaptation.

Subsequently, within the cooperation framework, the two parties will also clarify the intellectual property ownership of process data and AI models, compress the mass production test cycle through the simulation stage, and gradually open this process-model closed loop to the industry.

This collaboration is built upon the respective technological accumulations of both parties and their shared capital ties.

Founded in December 2020 by Zheng Jiaxin from the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University, Eacomp Technology specializes in battery material and process simulation software. It has launched products such as Material Workshop, Cell Workshop, Smart Cell Workshop, Electrolyte Workshop, Compaction and Microstructure, Polymer Workshop, Particle Structure Workshop, and Process Workshop. It has built a Battery Design Automation (BDA) system covering everything from material screening to life prediction, and has jointly published multiple academic achievements with CATL's 21C Lab and Peking University.

Tsingyane Electronics received a strategic round of investment from CATL in July 2026, while Eacomp Technology received a strategic equity investment from Fujian Shidai Zeyuan Fund (under CATL) in April of the same year. Thus, the two companies have entered the same industrial capital landscape.

Corresponding to Eacomp Technology's simulation capabilities, Tsingyane Electronics provides industrial data for dry electrodes, from materials to the entire production line.

Founded in August 2020 and incubated by the Tsinghua University Shenzhen Research Institute, Tsingyane Electronics relies on the institute's Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy Storage Materials and Devices, which has over 20 years of accumulation in the field of powder film formation (PIFs).

On the equipment side, Tsingyane Electronics has launched a hybrid homogenization integrated machine, a dry single-sided film-forming composite integrated machine, a dry double-sided film-forming composite integrated machine, and double-sided film-forming composite mass production equipment. Among these, the double-sided film-forming composite integrated machine achieves a thickness control accuracy of ±1μm-level and a web speed of 50 m/min;

On the production line side, the company has completed the country's first GWh-level fully automated dry electrode production line and initiated the preparation for a 5GWh-level production line. Its core dry electrode equipment has entered the solid-state battery production line of GAC. By establishing joint ventures with Naknor, Honggong Technology, and BTR respectively, Tsingyane Electronics covers core segments of the entire dry electrode line, including mixing, film formation, and rolling.

Since 2026, the company has signed a new project in Xitaihu, Changzhou, Jiangsu, with a total investment of CNY 1.2 billion, planning an annual production of 1 million square meters of high-end PTFE copper clad laminates and a 150 ppm fully automated dry supercapacitor line; in May, it launched a full-chain open verification innovation platform for dry electrodes and exhibited LATP solid-state ternary cathode sheets at CIBF 2026.

From an industry background perspective, dry electrodes eliminate the need for NMP solvent and the coating and drying processes, and are regarded as an important process route for the manufacturing of solid-state batteries and large cylindrical batteries.

In early 2026, Tesla announced the scaled mass production of dry electrodes, and the industrialization process of domestic solid-state batteries is advancing simultaneously. The accumulation of dry electrode process data has become the main constraint on the implementation of simulation models, and the collaboration between the two parties is precisely aimed at this segment.
