Survey of 21 Enterprises | Multiple Display Vendors Adopt COB+MIP Dual Tech Route

by hangjiashuoDisplay·October 13, 2026

Recently, Hangjiashuo Display analyzed the growth logic and industry impact of LED all-in-one displays (Review). In this article, we collected feedback around three dimensions: size distribution, pixel pitch selection, and packaging technology routes of LED all-in-one displays. Based on a survey of 21 companies, the current market shows the following common judgments:

Size dimension: The demand for 108-inch products is showing a downward trend, and the 135-165 inch range has become the most densely deployed area by enterprises;

Pixel pitch dimension: P1.5 and P1.8 are the current mainstream choices, among which P1.5 accounts for a prominent proportion in 2K resolution configurations;

Technology dimension: The shipment proportion of COB continues to rise, while MIP is in the stage of technology reserve and small-batch verification.

Size Trends: Formation of the "Dual-Core Pattern" for 135/163 Inches

1) The 135-138 inch range is currently the most concentrated size segment in terms of shipment volume, accounting for nearly 50%, and has become the main volume driver for 2K resolution.

Feedback from most enterprises in the survey indicates that the 135-138 inch range is currently the size segment with the highest shipment proportion. The mainstream configuration in this range is a 16:9 aspect ratio paired with a P1.5 pixel pitch, which can achieve 1920×1080 (2K) Full HD resolution without the need for additional scaling adaptation. In terms of spatial adaptability, this size segment can cover the usage needs of about 80% of small and medium-sized conference rooms and ordinary classrooms; from the perspective of engineering implementation, the threshold for transportation and home delivery is relatively controllable.

Interviewed enterprises generally mentioned that with the advancement of industry standardization, the presence of 138-inch products is weakening, and 135-inch is gradually becoming the mainstream specification for 2K all-in-one displays. This is because the 135-inch size perfectly fills the gap in size coverage for "medium-sized conference rooms" left by traditional projectors and LCD splicing.

2) The 162-163 inch range is the main growth segment in the high-end market, with 4K resolution + P0.9 pixel pitch as the mainstream configuration.

Enterprises believe that this size segment mainly targets scenarios such as high-end commercial display, private home giant screens, and high-end government and enterprise conference rooms. It not only meets the clarity requirements for watching 4K content at close range but also does not exceed the limits of home delivery and installation in most scenarios. Among them, some enterprises have listed this specification as an important product component in the high-end market.

3) The 86-110 inch and 108 inch sizes respectively play the roles of differentiated supplementation and stock replacement.

However, from the survey results, some manufacturers are deploying in the 86-110 inch range, targeting the entry-level needs of small and medium-sized conference rooms and high-end home theaters, and exploring the boundaries of the consumer market; most enterprises still retain the 108-inch product line, but generally report that the demand for this specification is showing a downward trend, mainly serving as a supplementary option for stock replacement.

Technology Routes: COB Becomes Mainstream Configuration, MIP in Reserve Period

1) COB's shipment and penetration rate in current LED all-in-one displays continue to rise

Feedback from some interviewed enterprises shows that the proportion of COB in LED all-in-one display shipments has exceeded 50%; in high-end conference all-in-one displays with P1.2 and below, the COB penetration rate is close to 80%.

There are two main driving factors for the increase in the proportion of COB:

First, the product characteristics have a high degree of matching with high-frequency usage scenarios, featuring high reliability, high contrast, and low failure rate, and its adaptability to touch interactive functions is superior to traditional SMD solutions;

Second, costs continue to drop. In the pixel pitch segment below P1.5, the price competitiveness of COB is gradually emerging, and the substitution steps for SMD are accelerating.

2) MIP is still in the period of technology iteration and capacity reserve, with only small-scale commercial use in some high-end professional scenarios

Some enterprises stated that MIP features low power consumption, high contrast, high protection, and relatively stable mass production yield, and the pixel pitch can be further reduced. At the current stage, MIP is still in the period of technology iteration and capacity reserve, with only small-scale commercial use in some high-end professional scenarios.

Combining Hangjiashuo Research and feedback from most leading manufacturers in this survey, the scale mass production node for MIP is expected around 2028, when the supporting capacity of the industrial chain will be released in a concentrated manner. Currently, the MIP technology layout has covered the main links of the industrial chain, and most leading manufacturers have included it in their medium- and long-term technology route planning.

Enterprise Perspectives

Unilumin: Currently, the main size demand in the market is concentrated on 135 inches and 162 inches; 135-inch 1.5 and 162-inch 0.9/1.8 are the mainstream configurations. The proportion of COB is significantly increasing, mainly due to cost optimization and technological advantages. Unilumin always maintains a dual technology route layout of COB + MIP in Mini/Micro LED to meet the needs of different customer groups, different regions, and different application scenarios.

Leyard Group: Starting from 2025, the mainstream specifications of LED all-in-one displays will concentrate on 16:9, 135-inch 2K P1.5. This size balances the visual needs of large conference rooms and installation feasibility, reflecting the industry's shift from engineering customization to standardized products. During the same period, 162-163 inch 4K P0.9 products will be gradually promoted, targeting high-end commercial display. We believe that 135/138 inch P1.5 is the current main shipment force, and 162 inch P0.9 is the representative high-end product. In terms of technology routes, COB is accelerating its penetration into the mid-end market through scale mass production; MIP focuses on professional scenarios with high display consistency requirements and flexible splicing needs. The market positioning of the two forms a segmentation, covering application needs at different levels.

Absen Optoelectronic: The mainstream sizes of LED all-in-one displays are highly concentrated. 135/138 inches are the main volume drivers, adapting to 80% of small and medium-sized conference rooms. Pixel pitch is standardized, and P1.5 has become the industry standard, which is the core factor for volume in terms of cost and viewing experience. The shipment proportion of COB all-in-one displays has increased to 50%; the current industrial technology route is mainly COB, with MIP technology reserve running in parallel.

Ledman Optoelectronic: From the perspective of market demand, 135 inches and 163 inches are the current mainstream sizes, with a combined demand proportion of over 80%. P1.5 is the standard pixel pitch, among which 135 inches paired with P1.5 can output 1920×1080 resolution, with good picture adaptability. From the perspective of packaging technology, the proportion of COB LED all-in-one displays continues to rise. Its high protection and high stability adapt to close-range viewing scenarios such as conferences and education, and it is easy to equip with touch functions. Since launching COB products in 2019, Ledman Optoelectronic has continued to deeply cultivate this track, and all its all-in-one machines are equipped with Windows + Android dual systems. LED all-in-one displays mainly replace LCD splicing, projectors, and engineering small-pitch screens. The advantages lie in high integration, independent systems, and simple deployment. Ledman Optoelectronic adopts the product route of "COB packaging + multi-point touch + dual system + interactive software".

NationStar Optoelectronics: From the perspective of size trends, the 135-165 inch range is still the core deployment area for manufacturers. P1.5 and 135/138 inches have become the mainstream specifications for commercial conferences. The share of smaller P1.2 high-end models has increased slightly, but the penetration rate is limited. From the perspective of technology routes, MiP micro pixel packaging has good advantages, and its proportion will continue to increase significantly. NationStar Optoelectronics mainly promotes the MiP route, mainly from picture quality advantages and process advantages. The pixel pitch is smaller, with no graininess for close-range conference viewing, and the display effect crushes traditional bracket lamp beads. Integrated packaging is moisture-proof and collision-proof, adapting to long-term high-frequency use in conference rooms. In addition, under the scale mass production of MiP, costs continue to decline, which can cover the mid-to-high-end all-price all-in-one display market.

QSTECH: In 2026, the focus will be more on 135/138 inches. With the standardization of the industry, pixel pitches are concentrated on P1.5 and P1.8, and the shipment proportion of COB will gradually increase. QSTECH has main promoted products in SMD/COB/MIP. Due to the obvious cost price difference among various technologies, multi-line layout can fully meet the purchasing needs of customers with different budgets and different usage scenarios.

Shenzhen MTC: At this stage, our technology route is still centered on COB. In terms of MIP, although costs have dropped, from the actual shipment structure of all-in-one displays, its proportion has not yet shown significant changes.

Cedar Electronics: In 2026, the market size of LED all-in-one displays will be concentrated in the 135-165 inch range, among which 135 inches is one of the main shipment forces. P1.5 has become the mainstream choice for standard configuration due to the balance of resolution and cost. In terms of technology routes, the COB penetration rate continues to rise, with obvious growth in overseas demand; MIP simultaneously enters the stage of small-scale commercial use. Based on this, we use COB as the technology base to achieve scale cost reduction, and use MiP as the technology highland to position the high-end market, forming different performance gradients to cover the full-scenario needs from basic commercial use to high-end professional display.

HCP Technology: In terms of size, the 135-165 inch range is still the most densely deployed area for current products. Among them, P1.5 and 135/138 inch 2K resolution have gradually become the mainstream configuration, balancing spatial adaptability and cost-effectiveness. HCP Technology mainly promotes the COB technology route. Because COB has a lower whole machine failure rate and better display consistency, it perfectly fits the touch function, which is conducive to establishing word-of-mouth and repurchase advantages in scenarios with high requirements for stability and interactivity, such as conferences and education.

Suzhou Current: In 2026, the LED all-in-one display market will show three major trends: size concentration, technology route differentiation, and product form consumerization. Core shipments are concentrated in the 130-139 inch range (2K/P1.5, mainly targeting conferences and education) and the 162-163 inch range (4K/P0.9, mainly targeting high-end commercial display and home theaters). In high-end conference all-in-one displays with P1.2 and below, COB accounts for about 80%; MIP is in the capacity reserve period, and the industry expects to usher in an industrialization turning point in 2028. Suzhou Current deploys MIP for high-end display and enters the mobile display scenario with a folding and lifting design.

Hongli Zhihui Group: Combining the viewing distance and actual application performance, P1.5 and 135 inches belong to the mainstream market specifications, which can fully adapt to the display usage needs of scenarios such as small and medium-sized conference rooms and ordinary classrooms. From the current development trend of the LED display industrial chain, the cost and process of MIP lamp beads have comprehensive constraints at the material and production ends, and traditional SMD packaged devices are under overall pressure; correspondingly, LED chip technology iteration is mature. In the small pitch interval of P1.5 and below, the inherent characteristic advantages brought by the packaging structure of COB packaged products are gradually prominent, showing outstanding performance in reliability, protection performance, and picture consistency, adapting to more complex usage environments, and the market penetration rate is continuing to rise.

AET LED Displays: AET LED Displays all-in-one displays cover 108-165 inches, including 2K and 4K resolutions. Colorlight: The LED all-in-one display market will grow steadily in 2026, with particularly rapid overseas growth. 2K screens are mainly P1.2/P1.5 and 135 inches, 4K screens are mainly P0.9 and 163 inches, and the proportion of P0.7 high-end 4K is also increasing. The current mainstream screen type is COB, while SMD, MIP, and GOB account for a small proportion. Our company mainly promotes high-end display and high integration routes: on the one hand, we deeply cultivate picture quality optimization, launching grayscale fine-tuning, dynamic peak brightness, infi-bit, HDR, AI SR, AI MEMC, etc., to optimize the screen viewing experience; on the other hand, we cover subsystems such as display, video conference, speaking, sound expansion, intelligent control, and AI applications, providing complete solutions and flexibly adapting to scenarios such as conferences, education, and home use.

Skyworth: From the perspective of size, the 135-165 inch range is still the main battlefield. 138 inches has become the "golden size" due to its advantages of balancing conference room space and transportation/home delivery. Below 110 inches, it is probing the home market, and above 165 inches, it extends to exhibition halls/report halls. In terms of pixel pitch, P1.2-P1.5 is the mainstream. P1.5 has the best cost-effectiveness on 135/138 inches; P0.9 is starting to gain volume in high-end conference scenarios. In terms of technology routes, the proportion of COB is rising rapidly, expected to reach 35%-40% in 2026; MiP has cost advantages below P1.0, but COB has better comprehensive costs in the P1.2-P1.5 range. Skyworth mainly promotes SCOB (Super COB) multi-layer film glue integrated packaging, featuring nine-fold protection + active PFC power supply, MTBF exceeding 100,000 hours, reducing after-sales costs. Full common cathode design + dual DC low voltage, 1000nits brightness with only 330W, saving considerable electricity costs over 5 years. It can effectively support the "standard product" mass production of AI giant screen all-in-one displays, allowing high-quality LED displays to enter more commercial scenarios.

Newline Interactive: From market data, 135/138 inches have become the mainstream shipment size for LED all-in-one displays. P1.5 and P1.8 are the most commonly used pixel pitch ranges for government and enterprise report halls. Newline NTD's 136-inch P1.56 falls exactly in this mainstream specification range, but it does not stop at following parameters. Instead, it makes deep scenario optimizations around engineering installation, operation and maintenance, and viewing experience.

AOC: We believe that the trend of all-in-one displays indoors is centered on 135-138 inches, expanding to larger screens upwards and penetrating 86-110 inches downwards. In the short term, COB will become the commercial mainstream, while high-end scenarios such as private home giant screen cinemas are more suitable for Micro (MIP)/COG technology routes. We are currently shifting from SMD all-in-one displays to mainly promoting COB all-in-one displays, covering the full series of fixed installation/floor-standing/folding. COG/MIP all-in-one displays need to be extended with home OS systems, which have more requirements for picture quality, sound quality, and interaction. AOC is preparing for this in full swing.

Vistech Technology: The demand for 108-inch products is decreasing, while the demand for 135-165 inch products is increasing. Moreover, due to the continuous decline in the cost of COB products, the proportion of COB all-in-one displays is rising. Our company mainly promotes 135-165 inch COB all-in-one displays, and there are demands for over 2K resolution and corresponding all-in-one display products. COB all-in-one displays have advantages in cost-effectiveness, display effects, and touch applications, and tend to be ultra-thin (thickness less than 20mm) and other characteristics leaning towards consumer products, which can meet customer pain points, so the demand continues to rise.

Uniview LED: Resolution demand continues to rise. Users' attention to resolution is continuously increasing, and the demand for smaller pitch and higher resolution is obviously growing. P1.2 is still the current main shipment force, while P0.9 is becoming a new competition focus in the high-end market. From the perspective of size, the 135-165 inch range is the most densely deployed area by enterprises, among which 135-inch P1.5 has become a mainstream product form universally recognized by the industry. The proportion of COB and MiP has significantly increased. UniviewLED adopts a dual-line parallel route. COB and MiP have their own advantages in product characteristics, adapting to the application needs of different customer groups.

Hangjiashuo Research Summary

Based on a survey of over 20 enterprises, the supply-side evolution of the LED all-in-one display market in 2026 can be summarized into three points: sizes concentrating towards 135/163 inches, technology routes mainly focusing on COB besides SMD with MIP in the reserve period, and the focus of competition shifting from hardware to comprehensive solutions.

However, the evolution on the product side is only the first half. What truly determines the depth of category penetration and growth space is the demand side. What exactly are the differences in procurement decisions, function priorities, and price sensitivity for LED all-in-one displays in core scenarios such as government and enterprise conferences, smart education, and commercial display? Is the penetration logic of these scenarios converging or differentiating?
