The upstream sector of the humanoid robot industry chain has seen a wave of intensive funding closures. Four companies—Zeroerr, INEX, Yincheng Intelligence, and XJCSENSOR Technology—have successively announced the completion of new funding rounds, covering key segments such as joint modules, force sensors, and embodied AI in logistics scenarios, with a total funding scale exceeding CNY 700 million.
Zeroerr: Joint Modules Obtain CR Certification, Completing 8 Funding Rounds in Total
Zeroerr Technology announced on September 14 the completion of its C+++ round of financing, led by Xichen Capital with follow-on investment from existing shareholder Huakong Fund. The funding amount is tens of millions of CNY, and the funds will be used for product R&D, capacity expansion, and global market layout.
Founded in 2016, Zeroerr focuses on core robotic motion control components, with products covering two major fields: robot joint modules and encoders. Its eRob series integrated joint module has obtained the industry's first CR certification for integrated joints of humanoid robots. It has over 2,000 downstream customers, covering global enterprises in the fields of tech consumer goods, robotics, automation, and automotive. Information from Qichacha shows that the company has completed a total of 8 funding rounds.
ENCOS Joint Modules Secure Over CNY 300 Million in Series B
Nanjing ENCOS announced on September 14 the completion of its Series B funding of over CNY 300 million. Investors include new institutions such as CITIC Jinshi, Nice Group, Suzhou Venture Capital, Huarui Investment, Nanjing Transportation Control, and Huarui Venture Capital, along with continuous follow-on investments from existing shareholders such as Fosun Chuangfu, Shenzhen Capital Group, and Huakong Fund.
Founded in 2022, INEX focuses on robot reducer motors as its core, with products covering four major categories: joint modules, smart batteries, dexterous hands, and communication modules. Among them, the joint module has launched 40 products, with peak torque ranging from 12Nm to 600Nm. Its hardware partners cover domestic humanoid robot OEMs such as Jiasu Jinhua, Songyan Power, and Xinghaitu, as well as cross-over enterprises like BYD and GAC. It has also completed on-site verification with embodied AI model company Physical Intelligence. In the demos released by PI, all robotic arms are equipped with INEX joint modules.
XJCSENSOR: Shipments Exceed 100,000 Units, Series B of Hundreds of Millions of CNY Closed
Shenzhen XJCSENSOR Technology announced on September 14 the completion of its Series B funding of hundreds of millions of CNY, led by Shanghai Electric Science and Technology Fund, with continuous follow-on investments from Shenzhen Capital Group and Juhe Capital, and new entries from multiple institutions including Longgang Financial Holding and Suzhou High-Tech Financial Holding.
Founded in 2009, XJCSENSOR is one of the very few domestic enterprises that have fully mastered the four mainstream sensing principles: resistive strain, capacitive, MEMS, and piezoelectric. Its 6-axis force sensor has a comprehensive accuracy controlled within 0.5% FS, and the response frequency of its high-dynamic models can reach 1kHz. In the first quarter of 2026, the company's total shipments of robotic force sensors exceeded 100,000 units, and its products have entered the supply chains of over 200 customers.
Yincheng Intelligence: Nearly CNY 100 Million Series A Coupled with Over CNY 100 Million Order from SF Express
Shanghai Yincheng Intelligence announced on September 15 the completion of its Series A funding of nearly CNY 100 million, co-led by Huamin Investment and Shanghai Semiconductor Industry Investment, with continuous increased investment from existing shareholder Detong Capital. Meanwhile, the company has secured an order worth over CNY 100 million from SF Express. The robots will first enter the parcel induction process at express transfer centers, with plans to deploy thousands of units over the next two years.
Founded in 2023, Yincheng Intelligence's founder Pu Qunyan formerly served as the head of AI (Artificial Intelligence) productization at Google, and core members come from enterprises such as Google, Amazon, and Nuro. Its L2-level sorting robot "Starborn" can achieve a maximum sorting speed of 1,800 pieces/hour, with a grasping accuracy of 99.99%. A single device can replace 2 to 3 manual workers, with an investment payback period of about 1 to 1.5 years.
Capital is Accelerating Its Shift from "Investing in Complete Machines" to "Investing in Components"
These four funding rounds are concentrated in the two sub-tracks of joint modules and force sensors, reflecting a clear shift in the investment logic of the primary market. According to third-party data, since 2026, financing in the field of embodied AI has exceeded CNY 34.5 billion. Funds are penetrating from complete machines to the entire industry chain, with a surge in financing in upstream component fields such as joint modules, sensors, and dexterous hands.
As humanoid robots move from technical verification to the stage of mass production ramp-up, joints and sensors, as core hardware that determines the performance ceiling and cost structure, are being repriced by capital for their "certainty". The capacity competition and domestic substitution in upstream components may become key variables in industrial competition in the next stage.
