Expert Say Robotics

In July 2026, the humanoid robot sector sustained its heated momentum, with a total of 39 financing events occurring throughout the month. The estimated total amount exceeded 11 billion yuan, covering seven major sub-sectors including complete machines, dexterous hands, tactile perception, world models, and core components. Regarding financing density, a company received capital backing on average every less than a day, clearly demonstrating the industry's popularity.

1. Surge in Large-Scale Financing

The largest single financing this month came from Yimu Technology, with its Series E round reaching billions of yuan. The funds will be used for the R&D and scaled mass production of tactile perception materials, chips, algorithms, and models for embodied intelligence, as well as the scaled mass production of production lines. Following closely is LimX Dynamics, which raised nearly 200 million U.S. dollars in its Pre-IPO round, gathering international investment institutions such as IDG Capital, Lens Technology, and Huashan Capital. The funds will focus on breakthroughs in the integration of the "large brain" and "small brain" technologies, and the scaled deployment of thousands of humanoid robots. Additionally, Moqi Intelligence secured over 1 billion yuan in its angel round, jointly invested by Alibaba and Tencent, setting a new record for angel round financing scale; Xingdong Jiyuan received 1 billion yuan in financing, led by Chengtong Fund and co-invested by multiple major state-owned capital entities.

2. Flourishing Development Across Sub-Sectors

From the perspective of sector distribution, the general humanoid robot direction has the most intensive financing. Companies such as Qiuzhi Technology, Lexiang Technology, Moqi Intelligence, Xingdong Jiyuan, and LimX Dynamics have successively received large-scale investments; the world model and brain direction also performed outstandingly. Companies such as Guangxiang Technology, Rimai Kaiwu, Yuanhao Power, Deta Intelligence, and Moushen Intelligence have intensively received investments, indicating that capital has extended from building the body to building the brain.

The tactile perception and electronic skin sector has become the biggest dark horse this month. Seven companies, including Ganzhi Jiyuan, Tashan Technology, Qianjue Robotics, Mogan Technology, Yimu Technology, Yudie Intelligence, and Yaole Technology, received capital injections in the same month. Tactile perception is accelerating its independence from an auxiliary technology to a core sector. The dexterous hand direction is equally eye-catching. Four companies, Lingqiao Intelligence, Xinuo Weilai (500 million yuan), Yuequan Bionics, and Shiyue Technology, received financing in the same month, and the competition in the sector is becoming increasingly white-hot.

3. Financing Round Structure

From the perspective of round distribution, there are 13 angel/seed rounds in total, accounting for about 33%, indicating that early-stage projects remain the most active investment and financing area; there are 9 Pre-A series rounds and 8 Series A rounds, indicating that growth-stage projects are also favored by capital. There are only 4 mid-to-late-stage financings (Series B and above), among which LimX Dynamics' Pre-IPO round of nearly 200 million U.S. dollars, Yimu Technology's Series E round of billions of yuan, and Shihe Robotics' Series C round of hundreds of millions of yuan indicate that leading enterprises are accelerating towards maturity. The overall structure presents a pyramid with a wide base and a narrow top, which is consistent with the vigorous development characteristics of the early stage of an emerging industry.

4. Diversified Resonance in the Investor Landscape

This month's investors present a four-way resonance pattern of state-owned capital + internet giants + industrial capital + market-oriented institutions.

At the state-owned capital level, Chengtong Fund led the investment in Xingdong Jiyuan, and Guoxin Fund participated in the financing of Mianbi Intelligence, with the national team frequently making moves; in terms of internet giants, the joint investment by Alibaba and Tencent in the angel round of Moqi Intelligence has become the focus, Meituan led the investment in Xinuo Weilai, and Xiaomi Strategic Investment continuously increased its investment in RoboParty and Xinuo Weilai; in terms of industrial capital, Geely Capital, Inovance Industrial Investment, and CATL have crossed over to enter the field; in terms of market-oriented institutions, first-tier institutions such as Hillhouse Ventures, HongTai Fund, CDH Baifu, and Sequoia China continue to increase their investments. Notably, Agibot appeared as an industrial party in the investors of Quanzhibo and Mogan Technology, indicating a clear trend of industrial chain synergy.

Overall, the financing in July presents three major trends:

First, capital is accelerating its concentration towards leading enterprises, with 8 single financing rounds exceeding 500 million yuan. Leading projects such as Yimu Technology, LimX Dynamics, and Moqi Intelligence demonstrate outstanding capital attraction capabilities.

Second, key segments such as tactile perception and dexterous hands are transitioning from supporting roles to the main track, with their independent financing capabilities significantly enhanced.

Third, the world model and brain sectors have seen intensive investments. Nine companies, including Guangxiang Technology, Rimai Kaiwu, and Deta Intelligence, received funding in the same month, indicating that capital is shifting its focus from "building the body" to "building the brain".

It is expected that in the second half of the year, as leading enterprises enter the mass production and delivery stage, capital will further concentrate on companies with strong commercialization and implementation capabilities.
