BOE, Skyworth, Kingboard Join Broad Price Hikes Across the LED Display Supply Chain

by hangjiashuoDisplay·October 22, 2026

According to incomplete statistics from Hangjia Shuo Display, as of mid-October 2026, over a hundred companies in the LED display industry chain have issued price increase notices. Some companies have already completed their third to fourth rounds of price adjustments this year, covering the entire chain from chips, packaged LEDs, driver ICs, and PCBs to terminal display panels.

Regarding this wave of price adjustments, the Hangjia Shuo White Paper research team recently found that price fluctuations in the driver IC and PCB segments are primarily driven by cross-industry capacity allocation and shifts in raw material supply and demand, prompting companies to mostly make passive follow-up adjustments. Notably, due to tight supply and demand, PCBs have experienced a substantial price increase, and their cost proportion in certain LED display solutions has risen significantly. Taking the P1.2 COB solution as an example, the cost of PCBs post-price hike may now exceed that of chips. Given that releasing upstream supply for PCBs and other materials takes time, these price adjustments are expected to persist into the first quarter of 2027.

Recently, four companies, including BOE, BOE MLED, Skyworth, and Kingboard Laminates, have successively issued price adjustment notices and will implement a new round of product price adjustments in the near future.

▋ BOE

On October 14, BOE issued a "Product Price Adjustment Notice," stating that due to rising upstream material prices, the company's raw material procurement costs have increased. Following internal review, BOE has decided to increase the prices of its commercial series products, including smart all-in-one PCs, commercial displays, video walls, and digital signage, by varying margins. The specific adjustment details will be based on the company's published pricing system.

▋ BOE MLED

On October 12, BOE MLED issued a "Price Adjustment Notice," stating that tight raw material supply and continuous fluctuations in production and manufacturing costs have driven up the comprehensive costs of its products. The company has been continuously advancing operational optimization to absorb most of the cost increase pressure. Given the sustained market pressures, and to ensure the continuous and stable provision of high-quality products and services to partners, the company has decided, after careful deliberation, to implement price adjustments for COB process-related products effective October 12, 2026. The specific adjustment margins will be notified separately.

▋ Skyworth

On October 14, Skyworth issued a price adjustment notice stating that due to recent cost increases in upstream storage and precious metal materials, and to ensure the provision of stable, high-quality products to customers, the company has decided to increase the prices of its full range of commercial TV products by varying margins, effective October 14, 2026. For all placed but unpaid orders, the new prices will be applied uniformly.

▋ Kingboard Laminates

On October 13, Kingboard Laminates issued a "Price Increase Notice," stating that due to strong market demand for thin fabrics, the supply of upstream glass cloth and glass yarn is tight, leading to a significant surge in prices. Therefore, effective immediately for all new orders, the company will increase the selling prices of laminate sheets and PP that use thin fabrics of 2116 and below as production raw materials by 15%.
